It’s time to recognize that we are indeed, all in the same boat and that if we don’t get our ship back on course then the vast majority of us will suffer negative repercussions. If the ship begins to sink beyond the point of no return, then those repercussions are going to be severe for at least 90% of us. THIS is why Americans need to start „getting onboard“ NOW more than ever before. Far more of us need to better understand what the REAL threats to our democracy and national security are and stop with the petty partisanship and the destructive divisiveness of the ongoing culture war.
The Same Boat proposes that Americans adopt and emphasize The Same Boat message and „relaunch platform“ in order to achieve what will prove to be a necessary prerequisite for our success as a nation, which is an end to the political tug of war and a resounding call, in unison, from the large majority of The People for a new emphasis on Virtue Centered Leadership. Virtue and a broad lack of emphasis on virtue in our society and in the education system are significant aspects of the overall Same Boat message because without virtue and integrity being the basis of our societal norms we cannot thrive as a nation.
The American Dream is still alive but it’s become more difficult to achieve and remains seriously threatened looking forward. An impending fiscal crises of epic proportions lies in our immediate future as 77 million baby boomers retire which will cause the federal budget deficit and national debt to balloon beyond control due to entitlement payments these citizens will be receiving in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid funds. The practically ignored cardiovascular disease and diabetes epidemics will prove to be utterly devastating to the Medicare and Medicaid budgets as this demographic wave enters the autumn of their lives. The implications of these irrefutable facts cannot be understated and should be understood by every American who cares about their future and that of their children, not to mention that of their country.
The Same Boat is a blueprint for how We The People can cooperate to save our nation and keep the American Dream alive, together, for all Americans.
